The Weather Channel’s site is very basic. You got the historic information on hurricanes, a hurricane blog written by some of their weather experts, and projected paths of hurricanes. Not Louisiana specific, but good for an overview of what’s going on tropically.
Weather Underground Tropical Page
Less detailed overview of tropical weather patterns including water temperature, Satellite imagery, and Advisorys by Region. Does have a great list of resources for those weather geeks at the bottom of the page that are very useful!
DEMCO Storm Watch
Features DEMCO storm tracker software, and local Baton Rouge information that is quite handy-phone numbers, shelters, and evacuation routes
